I can help determine ratios of green and brown materials, source reliable materials from the farm, and provide ongoing support, all of which lead to consistent, repeatable results. My assistance includes guidance on ratios, operational considerations, design, site selection, application rates, and timing. Since these factors vary with quality, testing is crucial when using compost, along with using the right equipment and proper protocols for compost extraction and field application.
Retrofitting older equipment can be costly, and purchasing new equipment might be even more expensive. My suggestion is to begin by assessing your application equipment needs. Are you planning foliage or in-furrow application, or both? Knowing this will help determine the pump type, flow rates, piping diameter, nozzle and tank size. This information will determine your application rate per hectare. Having this information is important for determining compost extraction or tea-making requirements.
